Family?
I'm originally from Sacramento, CA but have lived in several areas of both east and west coasts. I have a loving husband and very supportive extended family all over the country.
Hobbies/Interests?
I enjoy photography, good food, our cats, and time well spent with my family.
What medical change has impacted the field of neurology the most since you began practicing medicine?
Research in neurology has blossomed even in the last decade providing patients (and providers) with many more treatment options.
Why did you choose neurology?
My fascination with the brain and nervous system and it's complexity started at an early age. I continue to be in awe of the brain's capabilities and am so excited to practice in a field where I study it daily.
Why did you choose Peoria, Illinois, to practice when you could have gone anywhere in the country?
My husband and I liked the idea of moving somewhere new, equidistant from our families and when we came for visits we immediately felt at "home."
Do you have any advice to give your patients?
Sometimes patient's lives become defined by their disease, but with advances in treatment, we are continually encouraging our patients to "think normal" and to live life to the fullest.
