Physiatry

African American Woman Cooking.jpg Physiatry is often called the quality of life profession.

Our goal is to help prevent, diagnosis, and treat diseases related to the nerves, muscles, and bones that may produce temporary or permanent disability.

We want to help put the pieces of a person's life back together socially, emotionally, and vocationally after injury or illness.

Physiatrists may prescribe drugs, assistive devices, such as a brace or artificial limb, or physical, occupational, or speech therapy.

Common conditions treated with physiatry include:

  • Acute and chronic pain

Staff

Our board-certified physicians offer a broad spectrum of medical services for evaluation and treatment of physical ailments. These techniques help diagnose conditions that cause pain, weakness, or numbness.
